Girlfriends Talk Inc mentoring program coincides with the school calendar. Our workshops can be customized to meet the needs and requests for particular outcomes in varying youth education settings.

We collaborate with organizations that have a commitment to the successful future of all youth. Girlfriends Talk Inc provides youth with the skills to find the keys to unlock their futures. Our programs leverage their effectiveness.

These include programs in Schools, Community Centers, Shelters and Hospitals/Community Clinics.

A Girlfriends Talk Inc representative will follow up with you to discuss your request and applicable fees. Please note our fee includes travel and lodging expenses for all presentations outside the NYC and Nassau County areas.

Program Successes

Since its inception in 2005, GTI has achieved the following

  • Featured on Good Morning America January 2010
  • GTI prom dress drive has provided prom attire and accessories for teenage girls in the Nassau County and NYC areas
  • GTI girlfriends reading book club averages 10-15 girls who actively participate in the monthly club meetings. GTI has recruited over 20 active volunteers
  • GTI has partnered with Percy Jackson Youth Center, Hempstead Salvation Army and Rochdale Community Center to provide mentoring services for after school programs.
  • GTI provides weekly mentoring activities to youth in Nassau County.
  • Cupcake decorating classes
  • Mother daughter workshop
  • 4 Etiquette dining workshops
  • Exposure to arts and humanities 30 members attended The Wiz on Broadway and dinner in times square
  • Holiday Toy and Book Drive 2010 & 2011
  • Completed 17 book club meetings at Barnes and Noble averaging 12 girls per session
  • Showcased 7 career day forums featuring 6-11 extraordinary women educating and sharing their career paths
  • Completed 60+ mentor workshops servicing over 100 girls ages 6-17
  • Over 25 members participated in the 2011 Sister Soldier Project packing party an organization that sends hair care products to female troops of color, who often face challenges maintaining their ethnic hair in desert areas like Iraq and Afghanistan.
